Furlough: Some Employers refusing to pay their hard working staff 20%

I have been talking to some people who are under furlough since the lockdown.

A friend of mine who works in a non-profit says his charity has given their staff full furlough, they are paying 20% to their employees while they are off, the Government pays the rest.

However, I have been speaking to some staff in the private sector in West Kent, and the staff, who are on very low income, anyway, say their employers have not valued them and haven’t paid them 20%. It has left them with a bit of bad taste in their mouth. The employers making it looks like they are great for keeping them on but not wanting to pay any of their supposedly valued staff.

Tell me your experiences.

#Covidiots chucking surgical litter in Kent countryside

A surge in Coronavirus-related litter has been spotted in a village in West Kent since the outbreak.

People, including walkers, have been chucking surgical gloves, masks, dirty tissues and wet wipes along woodlands and verges, and not disposing of them properly. It is particularly bad in areas popular with dog walkers.

Parish Councils have had to get their maintenance crew to clear up the clinical waste.

The Government needs to educate the public to dispose of their surgical waste appropriately to minimise risk of the virus spreading on to others.

STAY HOME, STAY SAFE AND DO NOT LITTER.

Coronavirus Baby Outbreak?

We hear of people stockpiling loo rolls, pasta, longlife milk and hand sanitiser, but why aren’t people planning their contraception? This needs to be talked about, particularly if people rely on condoms. We have enough unwanted and unplanned pregnancies as it is.

When people have nothing to do in the house isolating, they can end up having sex a lot more, perhaps even drunk sex, because many people can drink a lot while they are at home.

So I am expecting lot of babies called Karina or Ronan, in the coming year.
